Volunteers Needed for Research

Mayo Clinic is seeking volunteers, ages 18 and older, to participate in a research study. The purpose of this study is to learn if the carotid body (a small organ in your neck) is important in controlling blood sugar levels.

You may be eligible to participate if:

•  You are 18 years old or older

•  You have had a bilateral carotid body resection

Participation includes 2-3 study visits. Overnight visits in the Clinical Research Unit at Saint Mary’s Hospital will be required. You will be compensated for your time.
